RN ADN to Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Schools ACNP

Published

Hello everyone,

Recently I have gotten my RN License from an ADN institution but, have worked in the hospital for the past five years. Started as a Sitter, PCT, Nurse Extern, Now RN! :) Worked my way up. I've been a nurse since the very first of this year, and love it. Right now however, I am looking into Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Schools, because, ultimately that is what I have always wanted to be. Ever since I was little my primary care provider was an FNP, and now as an RN I am seeing all the different routes NP's can take, and I think I am more geared towards working in the hospital in the acute care setting.

I have Seen lots of ADN-FNP Bridge programs but, hardly any ADN to ACNP programs. I do not have a bachelors in any other field. And, the only school I know of currently offering a program such as that is Vanderbilt Univ. But at a very high Cost.

Does anyone know of any other ACNP programs out there that work on a distance learning format for ADN nurses?

Hey there! Which program did you choose? I'm finishing up my ADN program and looking into different ADN to ACNP programs.
