Riverview Hospital-anyone work there?

U.S.A. Indiana

I'm thinking of applying for a job at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. I need some feedback from people who work there. I am interested in the labor and delivery, post-partum, NICU areas. How's the management? The other staff?

Hi Jazzie,

I do not live in Noblesville, well yet, but my brother does and he says that it is not a good hospital. I am not sure why, but I think it is old and possibly run-down. I am not positive, but just thought I'd share those thoughts with you. :nurse:

It is actually a new hospital. Old, but have added on considerably. HOWEVER, they are always advertising in the paper. Not a good sign to me. Plus, the nurses I know say they do not want to work there.

Specializes in trauma/surg.

I'm will graduate in May and left a message on the recruiter's voicemail, trying to get a little info, as I live in Noblesville. That was two weeks ago and no one ever called me back. Hhhmmm, and they wonder why so many nurses go to work in Indianapolis....

My 75 year old dad was at riverview for physical therapy in their transitional care unit.. They took my dad off of his parkinson's medication and also sent him home with pnuemonia.. Three days after he was discharged from riverview he went back into the hospital (this time in Indy).. The only thing I can say is I'm sooo glad that I called my dad's neurologist to verify his medicine changed b/c it turns out that he did not order him to d/c it.. The neurologist said that his parkinson's medicine is one that you can't skip or miss a dose or just stop taking suddenly.. So, now I will never go near riverview hospital..

This makes me nervous. I just got hired as a CNA/SNE at Riverview.

Specializes in a little of everthing.

I worked there for a minute. Well, o.k., for a few months. I worked in the Med-surg area and hated it. It would have been great if there was enough staff. They don't have enough techs and the nurses have too many patients. I just didn't feel like I was giving safe quality care.

I work in prison now and looove it. This is the most fun and interesting job I've ever had.
