Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated! :up:

Everything went well! With financial aid I'll have to pay about $20 out of pocket! So I'm happy about that. We fill out a form that you can off of moodle for scholarship(s) consideration.

You will get 2 forms that need to be filled out by a medical provider: your immunization form and a form stating your ability to perform essential program requirements (they just check off each requirement).

Also you will receive a set of instructions MOODLE, their online course management system. You will have to complete an online orientation. Our mandatory on-site orientation has been changed to August 8th 8:30-4. Oh yeah, the health forms are due July 23rd. A lot of deadlines, but I'm still soooo excited.

That's awesome! Does that include books and everything? I can't wait to get all my info!

I believe books and uniforms/shoes are a separate cost. I can't login to MOODLE quite yet but the paperwork states that I'll be able to access the site w/in 3 business days. Ms.W told me today that MOODLE will have all the info about scrubs as well as books soon (she hasn't received a book list yet). As soon as I can access the site, I'll pass along any other information that is up there!

Yes ma'am. I am able to login to MOODLE now! We have to order at least one uniform set before the first day of classes. The order form is not listed yet.

Do you know what they look like???

Mr. H showed me last year when I first visited but I do not remember what they look like. Flynn O'Hara is the company they order through. A representative should be @ our orientation and they also have a shop in Va Beach.

I think a polo with the school emblem and scrub pants (I think they are white).

Just wondering if there are any current students of riversides professional nursing program on here that could tell us about how it is. I am sure all of us would love to hear from any of you!
