Hello all! I am applying to Riverside in Newport News in a few weeks, and I was wondering if anyone else on here is doing the same or have done so? I am even interested in hearing from those that are in the program or have graduated. Does anyone know how competitive it actually is? I was told that 32 spots will be filled and I do not know how many normally apply. My gpa is not as strong as I would like it to be, but I am taking the TEAS V on April 24th and I am hoping to get a high score. If you are applying, what is your gpa and test score? If you are in the program already, what was your gpa and test score and do you love the program. This is my first choice program and I really really want to get in. Any information any of you could give me would be helpful and appreciated! Thank you!
Sentara was my top choice so that I could get a BSN. However, I changed my mind last August and decided to do the LPN program and then bridge to the BSN through Sentara. Once I visited Riverside and realized I only needed 1 more class to be able to apply to the RN program I hopped on it,lol. So Riverside is my only choice and once I'm done with the other pre-reqs, I'll apply to Sentara for RN-BSN.
Exciting! I'm going to be cutting it so close to the deadline (and I live so close) that I'm going to drop it off as soon as I take this final and receive my transcript! I wonder how long it will take for us to know if we got in or not. Also, I wonder if the interviews are in person or over the phone. I believe my friend told me she had a phone interview when she applied.

Once all my pre-requisites are done, I will be applying to Sentara and Riverside. Sentara is my top pick because it is a 2.5 year BSN program. Maybe I will luck out and by the time I get all the mandatory classes completed, Riverside will have their own BSN program.
