Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

It's getting closer, finally! Lol good luck every one! Looks like this semester is a bit more competitive. I just hope we all get in. I emailed them also just to see how much longer and they responded "next week, probably" soooo I'm hoping it will be no later than next friday. Hang in there guys the wait is almost over. Focus on enjoying your families on this holiday for now. Happy Thanksgiving every one. :inlove:

I hope it's next Friday too. Thanks for the added info. Happy Thanksgiving.:cat:

LOL no one has made me feel guilty here at all (: I actually get excited to see if there are new posts on this thread....happy holidays xoxox

Well Good i'm glad to hear no guilt. I too get excited when I see post. It makes waiting less tedious and exciting. Have a good Holiday. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all. I will try if for just a couple of hours, to not think about SON and just enjoy my family. I really hope that all of you will do the same. Worries and anxieties do not change anything and make me feel drained. My family on the other hand, changes everything and fills my tank. So enjoy this Thanksgiving, it may be the last one that doesn't include studying or an on call shift (since new nurses always get the crappy hours) I'll be back on Monday, at least to read other post lol. I don't post much, unless I have info for all of you.

Crossing my fingers for a email next week. Thanks for the info. Does it seem more competitive for this application period? I can't recall everybody's points but it seems like most people have 85 points or less. Is that higher then the last cohorts?

Hi Mindy, I don't know if this applicant pool is more or less competitive. Compared to the last two cohort treads this one is much less active. They had applicants with points were 70 and up to 90. According to our thread 75 is the lowest up to over 95 points. The average seems to be 80 points on this thread. But no one knows the points of the many applicants that are not on here. I was told that it was only about 400 applicants that applied for this term. They usually have 600-800 applicants per application period. I also know that a lot of applicants reapplied after bringing their points up which can make the pool more competitive. I registered for Spanish last night just in case. Don't worry and try to enjoy the holiday and your family like JaClark said. Remember He said up to the 12th, we can find out any day now.

Yeah I'm not stressing to much about it. But I'm still anxious to know already!!

Yea we all are anxious to find out. :nailbiting:

Ok, so I got an email back from RCC. It said that we should know of our acceptance or rejection by the second week of December. I thought I should pass this info on. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you Manny for the info. The second week is Friday the 12th. Happy Thanksgiving to you. :)

Oops didn't mean to confuse you! I meant that most of the ones on here have more competitive point totals than last semester. I have no idea if the rest of this semesters applicants have such high point totals. I agree...i think its because some of us have had to raise our points!

No worries. This thread don't represent the total applicant pool. I just hope and pray they have a spot for me with my 75 points. I have a lot of baking to do today.

I hope everyone's had an awesome Thanksgiving break! :D Am I the only one still craving stuffing?!

I wanted to reach out and ask you all where you have gone to get certified for CPR-- any recommendations?

It would be great for those of us still looking to get this done; we could all get together for the same course and finally meet one another!

I see that RCC has a First Aid/CPR class for Winter but I may not find a spot as they are all pretty full and my registration date is 12/3.
