Applications were due today for Spring 2011 at RCC. Just wanted to say good luck to all the people that applied with me, and maybe we can keep up with each other as we wait for letters to be sent out!
Thanks, and again good luck.
Does anybody know if it is possible to get in with an 80 to RCC? Even if I score above 90 on my TEAS tomorrow I will only have a total of 80 points. If that's not possible then does anybody have suggestions on where else I could apply and get into? This whole thing is just getting so depressing.
I had 75 points 2 semesters ago and didn't make it in. I talked to a few people on this site and they accepted a few alternates from either 80 or 85 points. They had a lot of people apply that time, around 1,000. The whole thing is pretty depressing, but I've started applying to different UC campuses. I am going to move on instead of wasting my time waiting on an ADN. A lot of the people I've been talking to say they can't find work anyways, so maybe it is better that I haven't made it in...
lol i swear it feels like they altered my scores =/ in at least math i was sure i got a 100%, also reading felt strong too. I double checked with the time i had left
reading- 90% 66 percentile (16min left)
math- 91.1% 97 percentile (18 min left)
science- 86.7% 98 percentile (16 min left)
english- 85.5% 90 percentile (35 min left)
overall- 88.325% 96 percentile
the average would be 88.325%, but they adjusted my score to
87.6%...
why is my reading 66 percentile aswell? im confused on what exactly percentile means, is it like my math is 97%, so 3% of students got my score or higher, and my reading is 66%, so 34% students got my score or higher?
is there any way to look at the individual questions got wrong?

hi everyone! i applied for rcc's spring 2011 admission also, and here's what the percentile rank means according to the ati testing website:
Percentile Rank - National:
The national percentile rank refers to the
proportion of test takers from all types of nursing
programs (within a specified sample from the
ATI data pool) whose scores are the same as or
lower than your adjusted individual score.
Percentile Rank - Program:
The program percentile rank refers to the
proportion of test takers from your specific type
of nursing program (within a specified sample
from the ATI data pool) whose scores are the
same as or lower than your adjusted individual
score.
im sitting on 85 aswell, 90 would probably be a guaranteed in though
for the person who posted ati's website info of percentile, ya i read that too so if im 96 percentile, 96% of the pop got the same score or higher than me? im thinking like im ranked 96% and the remaining 4 % got my score or higher i think.
ya id like to know if they take adjusted score aswell or percentile

1st time applying for rcc nursing, got invited to teas
im worrying about the science section since " science" is so broad, it can even include physics. I have this mcgraw hill diagnostic teas test and it has physics in it and nothing with rocks...so anyone know any info on what to study for the science section? (i hear study rocks so far)
