Is anyone out there waiting to hear back from RCC? How many points do you have? It seems like 80 is the cut off......Does anyone know when we will hear from them on whether or not we get in?

Steven Purdy is the one who told me they are accepting 60 this semester and he also said that acceptances were going out in a week or two......that was a week ago today :)
How many points do you have "soontobenurse!!"?
Oh ok, well thanks for the update! One of my gfs in in the program and she told me 50 but I'm sure Mr. Purdy knows better:lol2:
Im really not sure how many I have, I think between 75 and 80. Ive applied to quite a few schools so I don't remember as the app was due in Jan. My gf got in with 80 points last semester. She had all Bs in prereqs and Spanish and CNA liscense so that helped her a lot. She had applied a few times but didn't get in until she did the CNA. So if you all dont get in this time around, try that.
Good Luck and dont forget to post if you get a email!!!!
Check your emails!!! I got in :)

Applied Mtsac (walnut, ca) Nov 2009- It is lottery. Was at number 926, now 366. Applied to RCC Fall 2009- Alternate's list, was not chosenAPplied to Citrus College Spring 2010- Did not get in (Highly Competitive)Applied to Saddleback College Spring 2010- The letters were sent out but I know I did not get in. Most ppl got in were 4.0, and I know that one 4.0 is on an alternate's list.(Highly Competitive)Most of the schools I applied for were based on academics. I am somewhere in the 3.5 gpa mark and this is competition! Only Rcc is points system. It's based on academics, for. language, health field experience, BA/BS degree, life experiences...etc. This is why I applied for MTsac. It is lottery so everybody that meets the reqs. gets a number and guaranteed in their program. I have like 3 yrs wait right now. But I just enrolled in a CNA program and is gonna work my way up until a RN school wants me in. This way I don't have to feel like a complete looser and stressed out trying to get in a RN school. :)

congrats you got in (in a later post)
i am in the glendora area, basically down the street from citrus college.
i was wondering how competitive is the so cal programs.i am really worried cuz i got like 3.0 and its going down (im taking engineering classes, changing my major back to nursing, those classes are HARD) hopefully when i do the last pre-reqs (a&p, mirco) that it raises it. i plan on getting my CNA license this winter and i already have an associates degree.
so do you know which schools in so cal are on a points system? and how competitive they are?
thanks

congrats natalie51196!! i got my email yesterday...i am so excited!
And congrats to anyone else who got accepted. If not though, I would be patient because those who were accepted have to turn in their confirmation by June 4th, so I would imagine they may pick more people after that (assuming that not everyone who was selected will be confirming).
