Riverside Community College Nursing Spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!

I haven't gotten my bundle of books yet and I ordered them the day after we got the email, has anyone else got them? And I haven't gotten an update about the uniforms or supply kits but they are out of the office until jan 3 or jan 6 so maybe then we will know hopefully!
I got my order 4 days later. You should call to check with them.
Question guys, about the drug test, do we have to make an appointment? I am having the hardest time getting a hold of anyone on the phone @_@
No appt necessary if you go to the Brockton location. I was in and out less than 10mins
Call the book company! They charged me twice on my tax(and the student discount did not go through for some reason so my total was $619!!!), so maybe that's what happened with you. I'm glad I got that cleared up and refunded. Also I have not gotten my books yet, but when I do I will let you know ;) Happy New Years!
Thank you!
I got impatient and uploaded my docs and entered my data on ADB :speechless:

Should I still confirm with Student Health?

Thanks Steph143!

Hmm ,I'm not sure if you already uploaded your thing and it clears than you should be fine? I think email Steve let him know

has anyone heard back on the supply kit yet? Also I emailed the uniform company to see when we will be able to order because we will still need to get the patches put on after we receive them but am waiting for an answer.

I haven't, I'm taking a winter session class so I'll check at the bookstore on Monday

Anyone know where i can get white shoes cheap?

Are you guys using normal backpacks or rolling ones?...I've seen a lot of nursing students with rolling backs? ?

i think i am just going to use a regular backpack and see how it goes. I got my shoes on allheart.com they seem pretty comfortable and were pretty reasonably priced. I think that's where im gonna get my steth and watch as well.

I use a regular backpack now but I used a Rollie for the first semester but just because you are still getting familiar with everything and you just bring everything with you and really there's no way your back will survive with a 3 inch folder + all your nursing books. Also you have to take into consideration, where are you doing your studying? You'll want to have all your study material with you at all times. But with time you will find your way. I wouldn't spend too much money on a Rollie (they're really expensive). One that worked well for a lot of my classmates where the jansport Rollie.

Has anyone been cleared for priority registration?
