Riverside Community College fall 2014

Published

Just submitted my application for fall 2014 at RCC!! Waiting on receipt confirmation!

For those of you who have 70 or 75 points, and don't make it in this time, just don't give up on your dream. There are ways to get more points and apply again. Consider taking a CNA course at a private school. I know there's one in Riverside. They offer a 6 week course via morning or evening classes. They also offer a Sunday only course (I think it's 20 weeks). CNA is worth another 5 points. If you don't have a 4.0 in your General Ed, consider taking a class (or classes) to raise your General Ed. Some GE classes are easy A's. You can petition the school to retake a class if you need a better grade to get into RN school. Also, you can do what I did, and repeat a course at another college. I got a B in Psych 9 at RCC. I had THE WORST professor EVER!! I took it again at SBVC and I got a 103% in the class (yes there was extra credit). Also, make sure you check the 2nd language box and the special circumstances box on the application. Easy 10 points right there. Anyways, point being, don't ever give up. There are ways to raise your score if you need to!!!

Thats what I will be doing this summer if I dont get in  I'm going to take some more GE classes. Hopefully they will both be A's and I'll definitely try again next application period! I'm sure I'll get in sooner or later! Haha

Hm..I think you just go to account settings and set up the forwarding option. Can you switch the browser on your phone to desktop?

Ive tried to set it to desktop but I couldnt! I think I'll just have to use a computer!

Me too lol I'm not sure if I would really like to know if it's going to be good news :barf02:

I was on the standby list for Spring, but I didn't get in. I did go to intake and the first day of class. At Intake, they go over everything you must get done: Vaccinations, physical, background check, list of books, uniforms, etc. They also give you a schedule of what time class will be and a list of cohorts for you to pick from. It's pretty exciting. Good luck everyone.

Have you raised your point total, or are you reapplying with the same amount of points? What was/is your total, if you don't mind me asking?

Makes me wonder how many ppl get on the standby list and who on that list would be taken in when some one for what ever reason is no longer going to do the program....like do they randomly draw from the standby list? So many questions running through my head
