Anyone applying for RCC's Fall 2015 Nursing program?

Thought I'd start a thread to communicate about applying, TEAS, etc.

Im using the page without the book prices because someone on here mentioned that the bookstore page says we need coursepoint for more books than we actually do. On the page with only the book names only 3 books have a * that they need coursepoint. I havent checked through the bookstore, i dont know how to.

About the shoes, the brand symbol on the side must be black too right? I havent found shoes yet.

Yes, I've noticed that as well when I was shopping... And I only bought those three books that suggested Coursepoint.

Shoes? Yes, everything must be black.

These are the shoes I purchased. Nike free run 5.0 ALL black, Comfortable and durable. I personally love Nike.

Remember: your going to be on your feet all day with school and clinicals, so it wise to spoil yourself and feel relaxed.

It doesn't matter that the nike sign is grayish?

I got some black ones but the logo is gray too.

I haven't received mines yet either, I order them the week of Intake day. Someone on here mentioned that they won't be shipped till mid August?

Mines are off-black and the reflector material makes em look gray as well. I guess we'll have to wait and see what they say 😅

A friend of mine called and the skills bags are on back order. If you ordered uniforms and bag together then they will send them all out together ( just what I heard).

The bookstore still had a few when I went last week, I wanted to avoid waiting on their shipping since when I called they said they were trying to have them before the start date. I'd call the bookstore and maybe get it there, it might be a little easier. 😄

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this topic. I was accepted for Fall 2015 too! Super excited, but also really anxious, especially after intake day. Read some really helpful things already, like about the coursepoints, because I was confused about that as well. I wasn't sure if we should go off the bookstore list or the one the SON gave us. I guess I'll only be buying the three starred on the SON book list too.

Has anyone unlocked their coursepoints and started to use them? Also, does anyone know about how to purchase/sign up for the Kaplan? The flier wasn't very informative and Steven said something about purchasing it before the nursing bootcamp.
