Rio Hondo Spring 2017

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone applied to Rio Hondo College! Their application period is still open until October 17th 2016 so I know it is early to receive a response but why know get to know each other and inform each other about any updates! What other schools did you apply to and have you taken your TEAS exam? This whole waiting process has me all antsy!:nailbiting:

PCC sent me a email, they told me that I would have to check my email daily and if they were to email me accepting me into the program, I would have 24 hr to respond. They would not tell me what number I was from the list of alternates so it will be the waiting game with them.

Hi! Congrats guys! I just got my acceptance letter today :) I didn't attend the information session but does anyone know anything about having to take ADN 151 (I believe that's the name) before we start the program? Thanks for your help in advance!!

i didn't attend an info session but theres an advisement meeting the 18th, and oh gosh i hope we don't have to go through classes before the program... what is ADN 151 about

ADN 151 is Clinical Nursing Concepts. It's only 2 units so I think it's a short class but on their website they say it's a pre requisite to continue into the program. But you can only get into that class if you are accepted to the program. So regardless we are in the program. I think they just teach you some basics before you start classes full time. We will find out more during the meeting.

Did your acceptance letter say "provisionally accepted"? Mine did. I'm hoping that means I'm accepted and not on the wait list.

i hope its just part of our first semester schedule

yea it said provisionally and thats because you need to get all your health requirements done. i called and asked about that too because i was worried it meant wait list, but it doesn't. we're in!

Provisionally means you are officially accepted in the program. If you are in the waiting list , the letter would say alternate. I do not get any letter from Rio Hondo yet (deny or accept) I will call them tomorrow.

I made it in too!! I also got my letter in the mail yesterday! I am super excited to finally start nursing school. See you at the orientation :)
