Rio Hondo Fall 2017

Hello everyone,

I just handed in my application for Fall 2017 and am wondering how many of you are out there. The person at the front desk told me that they will be picking candidates on April 10th and there will be a mandatory meeting on April 14th for those who were accepted. Good luck!

I called and they said emails will go out sometime this afternoon that was at 1:15. I am suppose to be leaving out of town tomorrow night!!!!! I can't wait anymore longer :crying2:.

There is one hour left for them to send the emails out. The anxiety from waiting is too real right now!!

I was provisionally accepted!!!! I got my email at 4:53.

I've been accepted too!! I got the email at 4:55pm. I'm not sure what to feel lol

Congrats Guys!!!!!!!For those of you who made it into the program, can you share what you submitted in your application or share you GPA?

For those of you who made it into the program, can you share what you submitted in your application or share your GPA? I didn't get in but I will try again in August! Any advice would be great. Maybe there is more I can do for next time.

- BS in Biology w/ cumulative of 2.9 when I graduated but probably a 3.0ish now because I have a 4.0 at the CC where I took my prereqs.

- 4.0 GPA in prerequisite science courses (micro, a&p, and chem)

- 86.7% on the TEAS (first and only attempt)

- Low income, need to work, and first generation student.

- I live in the area if that matters...

- No health care/volunteer experience.

- No certificates/licenses.

To be honest, I didn't think I would get accepted because of my low cumulative GPA. I'm thinking I had the same points as someone and we were selected at random...This is my first acceptance and hopefully not the last! Good luck to everyone!!

I am an alternate so I'm really hoping I somehow can squeeze myself in there lol
