I just received an acceptance! I think they're sending those out as people who were originally accepted decline or don't make it in time for deadlines. I hope you get in too!! just keep a look out in your email!

Congratulations!!
I hope I make it in too!

Hi did anyone make a discord group for the lvn students?

Anyone currently in the program, who can give some insight on what the program is like and the schedule?

I've been trying to figure that out as well. I was hoping with the slides they sent in the email, there would be a make shift schedule of how ours would look like but nothing.

Hi can you share what prerequisites you took? im a bit confuse because I thought I only needed to take Psy and anatomy to apply but I mention the counccelor that I might want to go back for the lvn-RN bridge later and she told me that I have to take all the prereqs now before appliying tothe LVN program. even the prereqs for the RN bridge program. why can't I become an lvn and then come back and do them for the bridge?

From what I have been told and learned, if you want to bridge from lvn, you have to take all your general courses (if you took it at another school, check with a counselor to see they are equivalent to Rio Hondo's gen ED)  in order to bridge to RN in the future .

What I read from the catalog, if you just want to stick with LVN **ONLY** and are okay with a certificate and not an associates, I believe you just have those needed classes? I am not too sure if that makes sense but if you want clarity, reach out to a counselor and they can help you on what courses you will need. Just remember that every school have different requirements. Good luck on your journey, you got this! 🤩

Good luck everyone
