Thought I'd start this thread since I haven't seen one yet!

AFTER APPLYING:
REQUIRED – by permission from the Health Science and Nursing Division only. Students who are accepted to the program will be admitted to ADN151 and ADN 151L. Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program 1st semester.
Did they change ADN 151 to ADN 130? I am looking at the ADN Education plan and can't find ADN 151. By the way, should we make a group for our cohort?

I applied to 10 schools, RHC was the only one that accepted me, that's why I'm going there. Never been to the school. I'm kind of nervous because of the things I've heard about the new professors and the high attrition rate. But I guess I have no choice. BTW I live in Hemet so the commute is the only thing I'm worried about. I guess I'm not the only one tho. 🫠

I'm not sure if they changed it. I just read from the recent fall cohort that they thought they need to take it in Summer before they start their first semester, but I think they were informed that it is not needed. I cannot see it from the schedule of classes as well. Hopefully we'll get clarification during the orientation. Maybe we can create a facebook page for our cohort days before or after the orientation, when most of us have already decided to choose Rio. Otherwise, whoever is already certain in going to Rio can start a page.

they recently changed their curriculum that should replace the old 151 class.

where else did you get accepted? I been commuting to the school as well, and traffic does get pretty bad in the mornings, other wise its fine since classes end before rush hour. but clinical sites can be in Whittier, Montebello, and LA. as well as chino for the psych rotation

you can read my post on the first page of this thread and the last page of the 2024 thread through my profile to get a better picture. in short, new curriculum that crams everything into a smaller time frame, coupled with completely new professors who lack passion = a mess
Yes, they have a good reputation, but I feel like we were much better with the old professors who actually cared about this, the only reason for the good NCLEX scores is because the schools roots out a lot of students, just look at the attrition rate.
