Rio Hondo College ADN Spring 2024

Hello. I haven't seen a thread for Rio Hondo ADN Spring 2024 applicants so I made one for anyone else who is applying and has questions or wants to keep in touch for the application process.

They haven't even reached out to us if we are actually compliant with our documents uploaded on CB. Not even when is our orientation 

I emailed asking about registration and they said wait till January so maybe we won't hear about it more until then?

I don't know about you guys, but earlier today I received an email with a packet to fill out for Kaiser Baldwin Park. I think they're getting us ready for our clinical sites, but there's a lot more that has to go into it, I received a 25 page packet, and they want information on my health insurance and car insurance. Did any of you guys get anything yet? Or is anybody else going to Kaiser Baldwin Park?

Does anyone know if we can buy the etext version of the text books? They're so much cheaper ??

I was planning to, less luggage to carry anyway! 

I wouldn't be worried if you didn't get anything yet, I heard some sites just require more than others! We're all in, just take this time to reset, don't overthink it

Hey yall! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the holidays!

I have few concerns. For the textbooks, can we buy the digital ones? Also, I noticed that Rio Hondo online bookstore website does not show the image of the books for the 3 nursing books that we need to buy; is this okay? as long as we have the correct ISBN or the book name, it should be good without book image shown right? 

As for uniforms, how long do they get shipped? I have not ordered uniforms yet, so I do not know if I still have "more than enough" time to order them.

as for the uniforms, I'd buy them as soon as possible because they might take a while to ship. Also it might also take a while because they're "redesigning" the logo. I just bought the white shirt, and patches; and bought pants from Amazon

Noted on your responses, thank you for that! Also, we have an orientation??? When would that date be?

Hi!! For uniforms, do I have to order shirt and pants from Vista Uniforms website that the school requires? Or I can buy white shirt and pewter pants elsewhere and just need to buy the Rio Hondo Nursing Student Patches from Vista Uniforms website?

They haven't said anything about orientation but you can do it that way for the uniform if you'd like and have the patches sewn on elsewhere. As long as it's a white top and pewter bottoms, doesn't matter where they come from. Just keep in mind that they already mentioned that all the orders are not shipping out until after the holidays, and they already have back orders from students that have ordered, so just know the window might be a little tight for when you receive the patch and when class starts. Personally, I ordered one shirt just to have one ready, and a couple patches so that I can have them sewn on to shirts that I prefer.
