I have not seen a thread for people who applied for the upcoming Summer/fall start at Rio Hondo so wanted to create one. I know the deadline for the applications just passed but feel free to post stats or questions that you may have. Goodluck to everyone :- )

Hey everyone!,

I applied for the the Summer/Fall 2020 Generic ADN Program

My stats are:

79.3 TEAS

4.0 Science Courses

LVN License

4 years work Experience over 1000 hours

Need to work while in school

Low Income

I didn't know that I needed to apply for an Associates Degree to actually show that I have one. So I applied for one recently just in case I don't get in the program. I'll be able to have ready for the next application period! Goodluck everyone! Ask me any questions as well!

Hi there ? What do you mean you need to apply for an associates to show you have one? Do you have an associates degree? Or is it just not posted on your transcripts? Did you send transcripts to Rio Hondo?

Nice Stats! WOW! you have great experience! I meant to say I do have an associates but it's not posted on my transcripts. I never applied for one. I did all my courses at Mt San Antonio college. I had no Idea I needed to apply for my associates that I earned at Mt Sac, so that it would show up on my transcripts. So I am a little disappointed that I won't be able to show it for this application period :(. But if I don't get in. I have it posted this time. I am also taking spanish 3 this semester to show I took 3 years of foreign language to get more points just in case I don't get into the program this application period. Hopefully I do tho!

Hey guys, I’ve also applied for Fall/Summer 2020!

Here’s my stats:

3.91 over all GPA 4.0 pre-req GPA Unfortunately my first TEAS test I got a 78%, and I was forced to use this score.

CNA license, with over 200 hrs of work experience and I’m currently working

Life Experience

Good luck to us all ☺️

I got provisionally accepted into the program!

I am shaking. Just got accepted into the program. So beyond grateful. CONGRATS to all those who get accepted, and if you dont, dont give up.

By the way I had a 2.5 GPA in my BA. I went through alot personally during that time but ended the last several semesters with high grades and got As in my prereqs. For future people who may see this thread, dont let poor grades from your past deter you! Do everything you can to increase your chances.

Praise God. Thankful.
