Does anyone know if the Rio Salado nursing program accepts students in the spring? And if they do has anyone heard anything about them changing this? Today someone from the district told me they were not sure if Rio would be accepting students in the spring semester they may only accept block 1 students in fall. Has anyone heard about this? I can't reach anyone over at the college and I'm trying to decide if I want to start this semester or defer until next semester. But I don't want to have to wait another year. Also, anyone know about the part time program at Gateway and when they accept students.
Thanks in advance.

I've heard good things about the Rio program, do a general search for Rio, there were several posts about it last year. If you want to do a 'part-time' program check into Glendale. I know Gateways program takes 36 months but Glendales is only 24 months. I'm in block II at Glendale right now, and although we've had some bumps along the way, I really like the program. Their semesters start Jan and July, but you apply just like all of the other MCC schools.
Good luck,

I entered Rio in the Spring. There are rumors about difficulties finding clinical instructors but I would check directly with Rio to see if there will be a Spring Block I class.

I think I remember that Rio admits student every other semester, so if they admited for Spring 2006 and Fall 2006, then the next admit would be Summer 2007. Its really easy to get a Rio advisor on the phone to ask, whether they will know the answer is another issue :nuke:
