Has anyone else applied for Spring '09 at RIC? I hope the letters are mailed this week. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet.

Oh okay thats what I did. Mine isnt posted yet. I think its because I did the petition as a second bachelors student to take 4 core classes together. Soo hopefully I will find out soon.

I got most of my books today however on the website it only lists the books needed for nursing 222 with Blanchette.

Yes they will be the same ones for all of the 222 classes and yes these are the books we were asked to buy. We didn't use them all but you will need them later.

ok thanks! im trying to get all my books before school because that bookstore can get crazy the first week of classes.

Foote (220) will want you to get the nutrition (Nix), clinical drug therapy (I forget the author), and pathophysiology (Gould) texts. Your exams will be separated into units in that subject order.

I'm starting the nursing program next week also. Are you saying the first readings for 220/Foote will be out of Nutrition? My books are arriving today and I'd like to get started reading. With 12 books to buy I wasn't sure where to start!

Yep, your first exam will be on Nutrition, second Pharmacology and third Pathophysiology. If you start reading the basics in the nutrition book (first couple of chapters) it should be helpful. Good luck and congratulations!

When i went to the bookstore the other day they had one it was yellow but it looked like it was a different author. I asked a worker and they said that was the right one.I didnt get it and when i came home and looked online it was similar book but with a purple color. I dont know if maybe they havent got it in yet at the bookstore? anyone else notice this?

Mine have not come in yet but I ordered from the ISBN numbers on the book list ... that's what I go by. Look up the number online and what the book looks like. In my experience the RIC bookstore often orders the wrong books.

We used the yellow 2009 drug guide last semester. You don't need to go crazy trying to order the Springhouse one.......just get the one that's in the bookstore! Foote always called it "Springhouse" but it's a different author I think.

She uses the yellow one in class!

Lauren, quick question?? I was just enrolled for N223 and N224. Since I have 2 extra classes this semester I wanted to get started on my reading and I remember you saying to check the nursing board outside the office? Buttttt I have no clue where that office even is?? Help me!
