I am new to the forum... greeting to all. I am looking for collegue feedback on the effectiveness of Glucosamine Chondroitin on rheumatoid arthritis. I am not an othroped nurse... I actually do MDS Coordination, but I am interested in others feedback about the effectiveness of this... or it is just a placebo effect. The searchs I've done are mroe related to osteo-arthritis and the effectiveness.

Thanks and again,... greetings to all.:wink2::nurse:

Welcome to Allnurses.

I took it about 8 years ago when one of my knees was bothering me while I trained for a marathon. I also at the same time took up yoga, and quit running and used machines at the gym. My knee got better, but I'm not sure if the glucosomine helped or not.

Saw info regarding OA and glucosamine, but not RA. Here's a link regarding OA...

The upshot was that the mild cases showed no effect. The moderate and severe cases showed some levels of pain relief.

Probably not in the ballpark for what you were looking for, but on the off chance I thought it might be worth mentioning.

Good luck.
