Review by Georgia Board of Nursing

Have any of you been subject to a review before issue of your RN license by GBON? I answered "yes" to a suspension on a previous teaching license that I held so now my initial licensure as a RN is being held up. I passed the NCLEX three weeks ago. I have been told the "cognizant board member" is reviewing my file. If you have been thru this please tell me how long it took. I am pretty sure my file will not have to go to the full board which meets in Sept, but how long will it take this board member?:confused:

@chwwillbe I see sherri644 didn't reply back. Did you have to go through this as well? If so have you found out anything or how long was the process. Any tips?

You're asking a question to a member who apparently hasn't been on this board for 6 years (November 2011). You might want to consider posting your own thread to ask the question. Good luck with your situation..

I had a traffic stop for an expired car registration due to COVID complications with office the year prior. I was not sure if this qualified as an arrest since I kept car, could drive, and case was RESOLVED by an arbitrator as soon as I got registration renewed, days later. It never went to court. So I checked "yes" for an arrest w/o conviction since GA is the only state that asks such a thing and threatens all sorts of legal ramifications. Now, the board of nursing wants the court to write on court letterhead that there is no court document. This, the other state says, is ILLEGAL, since that state does not allow "files" on non-offending citizens. Georgia volunteers don't care, apparently they believe in a Russia-style government? In any case, I cannot get my license in GA because another state refuses to commit a crime per these GA "cognizants' request. I suggest working elsewhere. Georgia, its corrupt governor Kemp, and its complete disrespect of the law and other states, is just messed up. Hey do you have any updates? My application has also been sent for board review now that I passed the NCLEX yesterday but they aren't giving me much information

good day. I applied CES through CGFNS for two months now  the only respond I got was  I should upload secondary school. of course, I have done this two months ago. and my dashboard is showing Ready for Review. I mailed them but they said they will forward my complain. please I need advice on what next to do. please.
