As far as I know, retrogression affects all foreign nurses seeking green cards/work permits in the USA. There may be some exception for nurses from from NAFTA countries.

As to the extent it affects those from your nation,,,depends on how many nurses are seeking green cards/work permits from your nation vs how many annual permits for that nation that there are.

Yes, retrogression is currently affecting all foreign nurses waiting for GC regardless of country.

Green cards are actually under retrogression for all nurses at this time. Those from Mexico and Canada can actually get the NAFTA TN visa, but the green card is under retrogression.

And those from Mexico will be under the retrogression for an additional time due to the number of applicants for the green card.

The retrogression started October 31 of last year, and all have been affected by it. The I-140 processing is not affected by it, but once you get approval of that, then you are directly affected by the retrogression.

There are already several threads with specifics as to retrogression and what it is, etc.; suggest that you just do a search to find those threads.
