i think it would be best to apply for a licensure in texas since you are already there...also you may want to check the texas Board of Nursing so that youll be able to know what their requirements are...if you need directions it would be safe to ask the texas BON directly so as not to avoid confusion...

If you haven't passed NCLEX with one state and want to do it with another state you have to start the process fro scratch and meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse. All information can be found on their website. Alternatively resit with the first state and once passed and a license issued endorse to new state.
I had to take the NCLEX twice as well, the second time I took it I took a prep course through KAPLAN, I highly recommend doing this! They will also assist you in setting up your new test date in your new state. Before you sign up for the class though I would see what the laws are in Texas regarding how long after nursing school you can take your test. I know in my state you only have one year from your graduation date to take your test without having to take more education credits. GOOD LUCK!

hi!
last 2007 i took nclex exam in manila (registering for new mexico license) unfortunatley i failed on that exam so i got discouraged and didnt retake the exam for years but now im in texas and im wondering how to re apply the exam. i dont know where to start. i dont know where the testing center is. do i have to start form teh very beginning for the requirements or do i skip for some things. is it ok if i retake my exam applying for texas licensure or i should cont my new mexico licensure?
