Retaking Nclex. Applying before or after 45 days

I know that you have to wait 45 days until you can retake the nclex. I already got my notice that I failed. Now in CA, can I submit the application before 45 days and get an authorization to test after the 45 days, or do I have to wait 45 days, then submit application?

I live here in TX and i sent all my information before the 45 days were up and when i recieved my ATT it had the dates I was eligible to retake my test.

contact your board first,any way if u sent the form,they make u eligible after 45 days only.GOOD LUCK

i emailed the board of nursing in CA with regards to that matter and this is what they told me:

"You may send the Repeat/Reapply form in as soon as possible, however you must wait 45 days between examination dates."

If it says 45 days, they won't give you an early date because you sent the paperwork in early. I would not want the paperwork sitting around on a desk waiting for action, the action might be to lose it, so I would send it a couple of days before the 45 days.
