Is there not anyway the BON will decrease the wait time from 45 days to retake NCLEX???
I'm dying here!
I have a job interview coming up and I have a good chance but if I can't test soon I may lose this position.
OMG! Where is the light at the end of the tunnel??!??

Sorry to hear that you didn't pass. I doubt that they will change the rules anytine soon. Out of curiousity, did you try the Pearson Vue Trick? I haven't heard of anyone who didn't pass to see if the trick works both ways.

Nope, I doubt they will change the rules any time soon, think yourself lucky as some states have to wait 90 days
very true...90 wait is horrible. I know that my dream job will come to me. It's just so hard to keep hearing how bad the job market is and that no one is hiring. And in one day I got 2 return calls for 2 different hospitals!!
I just don't want to lose my chance.
I also tell myself that if they really want me and like me at my interview they could wait... can't they??
uggghhhh!

There is no reason why you need to tell them that you did not pass the nclex, I'm not saying to lie, but saying you are waiting to receive your ATT is the truth and you can't make it get to you any faster than they send it. I think that if you really want this job and they offer it to you, you can make it work. Often times the entire process of waiting for an ATT, calling for a test date, etc takes a month, so the hospital should be understanding. Maybe others would disagree but I do not think you should mention failing the nclex if they do not ask.
I did not mention that i have taken it. they asked when i was taking NCLEX. I have told them I am waiting for my ATT and intend to take at the end of July.
Being that applied for a different state also this time, it has made the process longer but I think i should receive it by the end of july.
i still am unsure if they will not send it until July 24 which will be 45 days after or if they will send it when all the documents are in place with the dates stating after July 24th. I was going to call the BON on Friday and ask. I was waiting til they received my school transcripts; which i know were mailed out last Friday so they should recieve them this week.
crossing my fingers!!! I also, look at it this way, if they like me they will hire me and wait til I test.
: ) I just have to totally rock the interview!!!

I'm not sure how it works in your state, but i thought once you fail Nclex that you can't work as a GN? If you have a temporary permit and you fail it is no longer valid? I would just check if you intend on working there before you retake the examQ
I'm not working as a GN. I have not worked as a GN since graduation. I am an LPN currently and have worked full time throughout school. I am interviewing for RN Position for new grads. They don't start until August. So as long as I pass at my retake I should be fine. Of course I am trying to remain positive, failure is not an option for me!
