RETAKE MICRO?

Published

I am a junior in college. I have taken all other prerequisites except ap 2 and life span development. I got all A's, but a B in math because I took precalc since I started out as a Biology major, and a C in micro lecture and an A in micro lab. I am currently signed up for AP 2 and micro. I have abought a 3.87 GPA with this C. I have not taken the TEAS yet. Should I just continue with ap2? I have contacted my advisor and she said that I should just continue because the program takes the highest math and science grades, but I want to also apply to othe nursing programs. Many nursing schools' minumum grade is a C. Anyone get into a nursing program having a similar situation as mine? What was your TEAS score if you don't mind? How did ya'll study for the TEAS?Thank you for the help! :)

hello, I had to retake micro. The first time around I got a D, but when i retook it during a summer course (with much less students), i passed with a C, and then transferred to another college and they took my microbiology course that i retook. As long as the college accepts a C, I would just continue on so you don't stress yourself again with that class. I took the TEAS, however, I can't remember my exact score that I got, but i earned around the minimum score that my college nursing program would take. I went to study sessions that my nursing program provided in the evenings. I am currently in my second year of nursing school, about to start foundations in a week. I am sure you will do fine.

Thank you so much for replying! :)

That's a pretty decent GPA, but I would probably retake Micro because I wouldn't want a C in one of my major science classes when applying for nursing school. When I took the TEAS V, I used the ATI study guide and took both online practice assessments on the ATI testing website. When I took the exam I got an 81% overall, 90% in math, and 81% in Reading Comprehension.
