Hello everyone,
My name is Bryan and I thought it would be helpful to start a new thread in order to connect with others who have either applied/or are already accepted into the Resurrection University Summer 2015 program. Please feel free to comment and ask any questions. I am looking forward to hearing from all of you soon!
Is anyone in the Naperville area or close by? I am just trying to think on how much time I should give myself to get out there. I was thinking of changing my work hours so that I get out at 3:30 and to school by 5. Any thoughts?
Don, I live in Brookfield and work at St. Mary's Hospital which is literally a few blocks away from Resurrection University. It usually takes me 30 minutes on a good day. Naperville is about 30 minutes away from Brookfield as well. You should be fine with your commute barring any accidents, traffic, construction, etc. The commute might take a little longer in the winter though.
It has IV tubing, fluids, bp cuff, foley cath kit, dressing tray (forceps, etc), some fake training meds, another bag with a bunch of things (gauze, scissors, maybe surgical gloves), and it comes in a red tote bag. Haven't opened the different little bags with all the different things in them.

Hi, I believe Lewis University is also a BSN program like Resurrection so they are both equal in that regard. The evening/weekend program here at Resurrection is approximately 5 semesters and the morning program can be completed in as little as 4 semesters. I am unsure about the program length for Lewis University. Resurrection is expensive but they do offer tuition reimbursement if you work at any of their hospitals after you graduate. I would also look into scholarships, grants, etc if money is an issue. Write down a list of pros and cons for each school to narrow it down. Good luck with your choice!
