Resurrection Spring 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hi!! I finished my Spring 2013 applications, and thought it would be beneficial to start a new thread :)

Currently my GPA holds 3.5 cumulative, I think science wise 3.0.

My TEAS exam came out to be 72%, and I talked to a counselor and he said I don't have to retake it...(I wanted to retake the exam to be accepted as guaranteed admission :( ) and since I applied rather early, he said I don't have to worry...I'm still not sure if I should. What do you guys think? To people who got accepted, what score did you guys get for TEAS exam?

I just started yesterday for Fall '12 term. I had a cumulative 3.0 (terrible BA gpa from a long time ago), science gpa 4.0, and TEAS of 90.

I scored 85 on TEAS, cumulative GPA 3.6, science 4.0.

How was the first day? What does your schedule look like? Any tips already?:)

I'm not in any position to give out tips yet. It's going to be a lot of work so get organized early. I've already had an instructor who wondered why we hadn't done the reading before class (it's the second day of school!)

My schedule for the first 8 weeks is m-f --- 2 days per week from 7:30a to 1:30p, one day from 11:30 to 1:30,, one day from 7:30a to 3pm, and one day is clinicals from 7-2. Everyone's schedule is slightly different however, varying by days of the week but the classes are the same. Clinicals are starting at hospital sites on week 3, so the first two clinicals are at school doing skills.

Term B (october to dec) is the second 8 weeks and everyone has classes 3 days per week for an average of 4-5 hours, and 2 days per week clinicals from 7a-2p.

Hi, I turned my application for Spring 2013 a couple months ago. I missed the TEAS requirement by .5 points, I'm so bummed. So I have to wait for an answer. I met all the other requirements. If anyone has any information on when the committee will make a decision?

Do you get a break between term A and B? How long?

Depending on when my last final is, basically a 3 day weekend. Go here to see a calendar: Top Nursing Schools | Accredited Nursing Schools | Nursing Schools In Chicago

If everything else is in order I would retake the TEAS....With you missing the TEAS score they may look at your application LAST....But you can take it anywhere just make sure it is the same version they are giving at Resurrection....If you do not so hot retake it immediately (a week) because you will get the same test

I retook it already, studied my butt off and got the same thing :(

I just seeing I could possibly work and go to school. That's why I was asking

Have you talked to Juan Miranda...When I took the TEAS and didn't think it would be high enough I asked what he thought and I felt he didn't BS me....Was honest and gave good feedback....Also look into writing the personal statement....unlike other schools I feel they look at EVERYTHING then make a decision and if you do not fit the minimum they will still consider you.....
