Yes, it's definately possible. The test can electronically flag you based on your answers, the scan-system where you have to scan your palm can flag you, and the proctor can flag you for any reason. Sometimes you are also randomly audited. You can call Pearson VUE and ask why your results are on hold.

I realized that I took my break before I hit 75 questions ( I didn't realize I had to wait lol) the computer shut off at 75 questions which took me about 2 hours. My results were on hold for 48 hours. When I got my results I PASSED !:bowingpur:bowingpur:bowingpur:balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::yeah:

:ancong!::hpygrp::w00t:That is AWESOME news!!! Congrats RN!!!

Thank you to everyone that posted. I am over a little stressed. My results are on hold two days after testing. I still don't have the option to look at the quick results either. I can't think of anything that I did during the test that would have caught anyone's attention. I had 75 questions and finished in 30 mins. I used the calculator on the screen once and didn't need the white board at all. So I think that it is just the amount of time spent testing but as you know, waiting to get the results is worse than taking the test. I did try to re-register and it wouldn't let me, I got the results on hold popup.

Hey there

Same thing happened to me on 6/6. It took me 40-45 minutes to test. I didn't use a calculator, white board or breaks. My results are STILL on hold. Driving me insane. I asked my Kaplan Instructor about that rumor; can they hold your results due to the amount of time you took the test in - and she said no.

I don't know about you, but when I was in the testing center, something was wrong with their internet/website - also, when I got home, the website available to the public was down for quite some time.. My instructor said that would definitely have something to do with getting our results put on hold.

I told my boyfriend about them reviewing my test, and he said, well obviously they wouldn't be reviewing it if you failed, you must have scored really high in less than an hour and they are making sure you didn't cheat.. Haha - so keep that in mind too if you are worried you failed!!! :)

Hope that helps and I hope we both get the answer we want soon!!

I took my NCLEX-RN today at 0800. I got there incredibly early and they let me start at around 7:50. I was so nervous going into the exam. I am normally a fast test taker, my classmates can attest to that. They always are making jokes and even joked that I would be finished with the NCLEX in 30 minutes. Well, it took me about 35. The computer cut off at 75 questions. Around 10 SATA, one diagram, one order question, no math or audio. I didn't use the white boards, didn't take any breaks, and I didn't stand up without raising my hand at the end. I walked out of there hyperventilating and freaking out all the way home.

A classmate of mine took the test the same time I did. Her test was very similar to mine except she took about 50 minutes to answer the 75 questions she was given. I got home and tried the PVT and it told me that my results are on hold. My friend, however, got the good pop-up, along with 7 or 8 of my fellow classmates that took it at different times. My grades throughout the program are very similar to those who have passed it. I also did over 2000 practice questions in the few weeks before.

I am in no way confident that I passed this thing. I am only sure I got about 5 questions right. The rest, who knows? Since I took it on a Saturday, I am told that I have to wait til Wednesday to get my quick results. I either think I got audited or they flagged me because I took the test too fast. Once I get the results, pass or fail, I will be sure to let ya know my timeline.

My Kaplan Instructor who works closely with BON told me that it's just a rumor they flag you for taking it too soon - there must have been a glitch somewhere. Don't worry :) I am still waiting for my results too.

I seen that you posted that and she may be right. However, on the NCSBN website, it does say this......

"NCSBN may cancel or WITHHOLD a candidate's results if, in NCSBN's judgment, there is a good faith basis to question the validity of the results for any reason, notwithstanding, the absence of any evidence of a candidate's personal involvement in irregular activities. Evidence of invalid results may include, but are not limited to, unusual answer patterns or unusual score increases from one exam to another."

I'm not sure what they mean by "unusual answer patterns" and it also seems they can hold your results for any reason so I'm not sure if time could be a reason or not.

Please let me know when you get your results or if you have any changes on pearson vue. I hope you passed!!!

Update: It's Monday. It's been over 48 hours since the exam. My classmates that took their's with me on Saturday got their Quick Results this morning. I didn't. I'm still getting the "Results on Hold" message. I've called Pearson vue. They've informed me that my results are not on hold, that there are no incidents listed under my name. I even told them about my classmates and they said that the computer updates quick results automatically and there's no way to know why mine weren't released with theirs. They told me that I would have to wait 24-48 more hours.

I called the NCSBN after my last post and they told me about statistical reviews. They said it could be because I took the test quickly or that I was selected randomly for review. They also said that the numbers are in the thousands of those put on hold. Even though I don't have my results, this does make me feel a little better.

Hi, I just received the results and I didn't pass, this is my second time taking this test, and I really don't know what else to do, can anyone recommend a good review book ... I was using the Saunders 5th Edition and the Saunders Qbank on the Cd and the big blue book, I was feeling prepared but no success... I got like a million SATA questions and I'm pretty sure those question were the ones that make me fail, literally I got 3 medication question, got 2 chart questions and a cardiac strip a lot of delegation questions, I need to refocus on strategy to take this test and nailed it next time. Please let me know of a good book for strategy to take the NCLEX.

I got my results at 12:00 this afternoon today! I passed! And I hope you got your answer too.
