Research Paper Ideas for Nursing?

Hi:

I'm currently a nursing student taking an English course. I have to start working on my final assignment for this course. I have to right a non-biased research paper with just information about a topic (both pros and cons), and then I have to write an argumentative paper about it where I argue for either side. The thing is my teacher wants us to choose a topic from our major (mine is nursing).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want a huge controversial topic which will be hard to narrow down. I want a simple topic, something like why should nurses do X and not Y, and so on. I want something that is not so confusing for someone not in the nursing field.

And I want to stress that I'm only looking for possible suggestions, I'm not asking anyone to do type my two papers for me.

At home births VS hospital births. Lots of great info and just enough controversy to create a really good paper but not so much that you will be overwhelmed.

Two good suggestions. But, I think the second one is more suitable for my paper.

I'll see how my initial researching goes and I'll let you guys know what I decide on.

I also have a paper to write this semester. I am reseaching the pros and cons of electronic health records (EHR). We are not allowed to use any medical journals, only nursing journals as references. I have found quite a few sources already, so I know the information is out there. Good Luck on your paper.:typing
