Anyone know about housing options and childcare options at Research College of Nursing?

Going through some posts and I just realized some members are bullied when they ask simple harmless questions and instead of not commenting if you don't know or are not sure of the answer and moving on they bully the poster to the point the poster is seeking help to delete the post. Hell no, I am not having any of that, if you come for me then you better be ready, i don't comment on posts I have no idea what the poster is talking about and since this is a general website someone in any of the continents may know so why be a nuisance to the poster. So come bully me and let me return it back and show you how it's done. I said it simply if you don't know the answer to the question just move on don't comment, someone who knows will answer. Anyways, my daughter's friend is going with another school in Minnesota fyi, that way she can go from home.

I'm going to assume you are referring to the nursing school in KCMO. I live in KC, and while I didn't go to Research, I googled and learned that the school offers student housing and that Research Medical Center has a childcare center called Bright Horizons (link below). I'm not sure if the child care center accepts clients that aren't hospital employees, so your daughter's friend may want to contact them directly for details. Like I said, I didn't go to Research, but I had a clinical in its hospital affiliate, so I was able to meet a few RNs who graduated from Research. I heard generally positive things, and my clinical experience in the hospital was fine, so hopefully your daughter's friend will enjoy it (if she hasn't started already). I am sorry I don't have first-hand knowledge of campus housing, but I am certainly familiar with the area so if off-campus housing is more her thing, I may be able to suggest certain convenient and safe neighborhoods.

It is helpful to the members to be given as much information as possible so they can best answer your question or how to direct your question to the appropriate forum. I am sure that with 39 years of nursing experience you are aware of the direct nature of nursing communication. While others may perceive it as being a little sharp....nurses understand that we don't waste a lot of time and words in communication.

I am happy that your daughters friend has decided on another school and I am sure you will be a competent mentor. The school you first asked about has a pricey tuition. I do think that sometimes it is better to directly contact the school about housing and child care.

If your daughter's friend is looking to go to nursing school, why doesn't she jump on ole Google & do research for herself? She's gonna have to start if she's gonna be a nurse.

No one bullied you. If we can do the research, so can you. You can also pick up a phone & call the school yourself. So can your daughter's friend.

This is the Internet, you cannot control the responses you get from people. Nor can you stop people from replying.

You are certainly one of the bullies here and I will certainly not take that rubbish from you. Fly away from my post with your ignorance and stop trolling on posts and comments. If you have nothing nice or information to give then shut the hell up! It's nurses like you that make their patients have very unpleasant stays in the hospital. I have seen and know your type, thinking you can bully anyone because you have access to the internet, get away from my post silly! Of course that's why your name is organizedchaos! Who answers such horrible name if not insane folks looking for where to ferment trouble. Get lost.
