katilynn 116 Posts Aug 2, 2007 I haven't bought my books yet. I'm getting the fundamentals book this week. Puresass did they tell you guys what kind of math we were going to get tested on. I don't think Roland is teaching my class (night and weekend) either. He said he was during orientation, but now the instructor is listed as Michele Scott.

It's really basic PO med calculations and I think basic IV drip rate questions. They will give you a sheet to practice with and they will go over it with you a week before the test. It isn't hard. One thing to remember what screwed a lot of people up is putting the right label on your answer. If it is in MG put MG, if it is in ML's, put ML. THe math is easy, but pay attention to detail.
StudentNurseAbby 316 Posts Aug 2, 2007 My class didn't last year. We had a packet of suggested reading. Terms & basic math type stuff. However, the incoming Level I students at my school had to buy a book early and read 5 chapters. I feel bad for them because I would be super stressed.
