Required CNA age for New Jersey?

I'm really hoping to become a CNA but I just can't seem to find the age requirement for New Jersey. Does anybody know what the age requirement is? Thank you so much!

You may want to find a local school that offers the program and ask them. If it's a college i assume it doesn't matter, you just have to have a diploma or ged. If it's another program i also assume you would have to be out of school because they're typically mon-fri during the day for 6 or so weeks. In PA it didn't seem to matter, started and finished mine when i was 17 but i was also out of school.

It didn't matter in VA, either. I was also 17 when I completed my CNA and started working in a retirement home. The program was a couple times during a week, in the evenings, and mostly stretched over the summer. I started my senior year of high school after I finished the program and started working within the first couple weeks of the school year.

I would ask the place offering the course -- they probably would be best able to answer your questions. :)

Who certifies the CNA? Probably the state dept of health so go on their website for minimum requirements for that type of certification. Good luck

CNA, at least in VA, is under the State Board of Nursing. If you do a Google search for New Jersey State Board of Nursing, you might get some answers too.
