Hi to all,
I am requesting to all Nursing students, Pre-Nursing students and also students who joined in the past 1-2 years in Nursing Programs.
There are wide range of people - Novice, experienced doing nursing education at various levels. Most of the Associate Degree i saw are for people with LPN or people who have high school degree and CNA and also with Nursing Assistant Experience. It takes almost 2.5 - 3 years to complete Associate Degree in Nursing including Pre-requisites.
After doing research at various web sites, I want to know some colleges or universities that offers for Associate Degree in Nursing which can be done 12-18 months for People who have already completed Bachelor degree and left with some Pre-requisites.
Are there any colleges or Universities which offer Accelerated Associated Degree in Nursing for people who already completed BS and MS and have some hospital experiece.
I appreciate if you can let me know whose colleges, it would be of great place. I am willing to relocate to any city to complete the associate degree. I had spend almost 5 years completing MS in Microbiology and I do not want to spend long years to complete Associate degree in Nursing.
Any feedback is deeply appreciated.
Waiting for a Positive Response.
Thanks
ANU

Out of curiousity, have you considered doing an accelerated BSN degree, since you already have a BS and MS? I think they can be completed in the timeframe you mentioned and can even be done partially online.
Good Luck!

Hi. I just finished an accelerated BSN degree program. It was 18 mos. I almost wnet to another one that was only 12 mos, but it was a bit far away. But when I was researching where to go I found that many colleges and universities around the country have accelerated BSN programs. Most of the programs I saw were around 12mos, 18 mos, or 24 mos. I would highly recommend it if you already have your BS. As far as accelerated AD RN programs, I didn't see any that I remember, but the BSN accelerated program was great and I have heard good things about many of the programs.

an accelerated bsn or direct-entry msn might be your ticket. many of the colleges with nursing schools have an accelerated bsn. the direct-entry msn is a bit harder. some of these programs are for already licensed rns, usually adns with a bachelor's degree in another field; others cater to those with no previous nursing experience who already have a bachelor's or higher degree in another field.
programs in california that offer a direct entry msn with no previous nursing experience include western university of health sciences (pomona), the university of san diego hahn school of nursing, the university of san francisco, and samuel merritt (oakland). the only one that i know of in florida is at the university of miami. there are many others around the country, i'm sure.

Miami Dade College has an accelerated ADN program (1 year) and a typical full-time program (16 months). I attend MDC with a previous bachelor's in psychology. The pre-requisite list for applicants with a bachelor's degree is short.
hope this helps,
