Report of nursing staff directly responsible for resident care

We just had a survey and did fairlywell. Here's my problem: The state gave us a lot of FYI's which mean that next time they will look at these things but were not citable.

My one problem, (Long term care) this piece of paper called the Report of Nursing Staff Directly Responsible for Resident Care- they gave us an EXAMPLE to follow. It appears that it will have to be hung up daily and I had made one that was a week's worth of reporting FTEs.

How are you all doing this??? My Administrator wants it to be done daily. I am up to my ears in paper work.

Once a week is fine with me. It is a suggested format, right?

Ours is hung up at the front door every am-the actual number of staff in the building-and I think it is updated by the supervisor at shift change-We have been doing this for several months...Some area LTC's put a copy of the actual shift schedule out-with names blacked out....Got to love the state-they want every pertinent piece of info right in front of their faces at all times......

One facility I saw had an erasable marker board that was supposed to be kept up by the Supervisor, but was not...this is a federal mandate so they will have to improve on that for sure.
