I've been looking into CNA classes and came across several schools in the Detroit area. It seems there are schools popping up everywhere. Before I pay my money I need to know if any of these schools have a good reputation. Could anyone tell me anything about the following schools:
Greater Horizon Training Instiitute
Genanscot Services
Precise Health Care Training Institute
Hazy Institute of Learning
Career Essentials Learning Center
( I know I spelled reputable wrong, I tried to correct it but it wouldn't let me!)
I loved Health Care solutions. They are wonderful teachers, most people pass their exam and examiners are very familiar with this school. We did ourclinicals at HCR Manor in Allen Park. No I did not find a job but I didn't apply for them either because I started a job outside of the healthcare field. Still it was worth every penny. Good luck but you won't need it !
I currently attend HealthCare Soultions in Detroit (W. Mcnichols and Greenfield area) 313-270-4550. Tuition is $575 and they have payment plans with just $200 down. I did my research and they're the cheapest. Although they're cheap the quality of the education is great. I got alot of good referrals before I started. Besides the course is only 2wks long (mon-fri 8:30-4:00) but they have night classes also. My last day is friday!
Hi. I have been contemplating on attending the HealthCare Solutions school this summer. I wanted to know does the school provide job assistance to students once they have completed the training?
Hi, I went to HCSCG a few months ago and they are great! I loooved my instructor for the cna class. She was funny and smart! I found a job at a local nursing home shortly aftr the class. Im going back there to do my PCT program in December. They really seem to care about us students! Good luck!
I didn't know anyone to ask for recommendations in my area (SW MI) so I just looked on the MI BON website for approved CNA programs and chose one from their list. (Advance Medical Training, Inc.) They have small 4-week classes (6-8 students) and provide book, scrubs, stethoscope and charge just a bit over $1k, which is very close to - a little less, even - than some of the other programs I inquired about.
No Red Cross CNA classes here, and our CC sends you to another (more expensive) training program whose 'evening' class times started too early for me presently working a full time day job.

Hi, I was thinking about joining health care solutions, was it worth it? Did you find jobs? I'd appreciate your input, thank you :)
