Hi everyone,
just wondering what the best way to complete required 30 hours of CEUs for renewal? I’m not working after having a baby so I will need to purchase the courses unless I can find some free ones that count! Thanks for your help! First time renewing my license so Just trying to figure this out.

I just renewed in CA, my first time. You are exempt from the CEU requirement because you took the NCLEX. $190 is all you pay and youre good.

You would want to check to be sure. But I find it's hard to piece together the CEU's at 1 and two units at a time so I go through Western Schools. They keep your records stored and you can do a 30 unit course for a modest fee.

Anyone have experience using the booklets they mail to you to complete the CEs? I should clarify I was originally licensed in OR where 30 hours are not required but I am renewing in CA for the first time. Elite Healthcare is the booklet that came in the mail to complete 30 hours. Seems too good to be true ??♀️

I've used NetCE for the past few renewals, but there are a lot of legitimate companies out there. Most people who plan ahead can complete their hours for free, so the people who sell them tend to be fairly competitive. We need an incentive to procrastinate, right? ...or at least not too big of a penalty.
