I am not a campaigner for Remington college. In fact I hated it the whole time I was there. However in spite of all that I believe it is a great program. I was in the second batch and I am not going to say it was easy. They sort things out as they go along. However people going in are getting a good education at an accredited school. That HESI is no joke but if you study and apply yourself you could do it. The school has a 100% pass rate and that is something thats worth mentioning. The HESI is their way of ensuring that one is ready to face the NCLEX. I just did the NCLEX and passed with 75 questions and I believe that studying for the HESI definitely helped prepare me. The classes were hard but if one applied themself they definitely could do well. Some people are jokers and want to blame everyone but themself for their failure. Its one year that you have to dedicate solely to Remington college, that means complete dedication. Guess some people had issues with that.......................................
I have a masters degree also, and the TEAS wasn't hard at all! It should be cake for you! Just inconvenient if you were told you didn't have to do it. I think most of the nursing programs require it. I know the accelerated BSN at UCF does and most of the associate level programs do as well. Either the TEAS or the NET. I can't understand why they would wait until Dec. What's the point in having an early decision date then? If we have to wait until Dec to hear something, that doesn't give anyone much time to prepare with the physical and the financial aid and such!Have you applied anywhere else? I am going to apply to UCF and I applied to seminole state as a back up!
Yes I have applied elsewhere and have already been accepted to other programs. Still considering my options as I haven't decided where I'm ultimately going. Planning on making that decision very soon. :)
I haven't interviewed yet. I got an email last week I think it was, and it said that they were in process of processing the applications and wouldn't be contacting anyone for 2 weeks or so. I applied in the beginning of September so I figured it would take them a while since I was applying near the early decision date. Is it true that they don't tell anyone if they are accepted until Dec?? If so that makes it hard to know if you want to go to another school if you are accepted. I hope to get an interview soon!! Have you interviewed??
I hope so too because I want to make sure I have a back up plan if not and some of the places I have applied to have things I need to do before Dec! I hope you get your interview stuff sorted out! If you get any information about when the plan to let us know something, please share!! I hope I hear something soon. The waiting is killing me!!
