Remington College of Nursing Florida

I got accepted into the Spring 2013 second degree nursing program at Remington and was wondering if anyone would be traveling from California or the west coast. I am debating if I should drive there or fly, but I would prefer to carpool to save on cost. Anyone out there get accepted?

I was reading another thread on Remington and still haven't been able to determine if this is still an issue. Although RCON is accredited by the CCNE, are they still only nationally accredited as opposed to regionally? I plan to later go on for a masters in CRNA. I haven't picked a program yet.

I asked that same question in the interview. RCON probably won't get regional accreditation anytime soon because it falls under the umbrella of all the Remington schools, which means that every school in every state would have to become regionally accredited. This was how they explained it to me at least.

Hi everyone - I was accepted into the Summer 2014 accelerated BSN at Remington and this is the first I heard about the difference in accreditations! I am planning on going on for my MS, as well.. My undergrad is from USF and was hoping to go back there for my MS but it states on their website that a person must have a BSn from a "regionally accreditated university." So, Remington does not fall into that category?

Today is june 12th 2014, and i had my phone interview 2 days ago with Remington college of Nursing for the accelerated BSN. I was a little nervous and my voice was shaking, but after a couple of minutes I calmed down. The questions are not really difficult, and i recommend to just be honest. I was asked about my background and what i had learned from my previous school experience, what words I thought described nurses, and the field of nursing, what my personal study tools are, computer proficiency, motivation for becoming a nurse... pretty much what you can expect from any interview question. I recommend rehearsing with family or friends, just so that the answers come to you naturally, and you do not panic. I am still waiting for my definite acceptance letter (so please keep your fingers crossed for me!!).

hope this helped! Good luck to all!

How is the program so far?
