Hey!

Does anyone have a fun way to remember which lining goes with the lungs v. the abdominal cavity? I always forget.

Thanks!

It is not very fun but pleura has an "L" in it and goes with Lungs.

Visceral is the linings on the organs such as the lungs

Pleura is the linings on the WALLS of the organs

Parietal is the lining of the walls not pluera.

Lungs=pluera cavity

Peritoneum=Abdominopelvic cavity

Parietal=lining of the cavity

Visceral=covering of the organs

Parietal Pleura=lining of the pleural cavity

Parietal Abdominopelvic=lining of the Abdominal & pelvic cavities

Visceral Pleura=covering the lungs

Visceral Abdominopelvic = covering the abdominal & pelvic organs

Hope this helps!! :)
