Relocating to TN

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hi,

Anybody know how long the hiring process is for Vanderbilt? When I spoke to the recruiter we kinda got off the subject and I never got that answered.

Also any information about the hospital would be great. I have gone up and down their website, maps and jobs to get some ideas.

Is parking an issue? There are so many different facilities within. I work surgery and thought I wanted to work the main OR but the childrens hospital looks like a great place to work too?

Thanks

Julie

Hi

Your welcome! Congrats to you on your new job!!

My DH and I are discussing moving back towards middle TN when I finish school. He is wanting to go back to work for his old company.

I have read Nashville is the highest paid area for nurses in the state. Anyone know what or other hospitals start out at? What about differentials? I'd likely want to work nights/weekends to be home during the week while DH works.

Hey

Vanderbilt

17.25 is the base pay rate. If you go into a critical care area such as PICU, NICU, Peds Emergency, or CT surgical floor, you get $ 1 more on the hour. Night shift diff is $3 and weekend diff is $6.

Sumner

Currently new grad pay is $18.75/hr; 3p-11p is $2.00 more an hour, 11p-7a is $2.50 more an hour to the $18.75. Weekends is $2.00 more in addition to everything.
