I will be moving to Columbia, S.C. in November. how are the nursing homes pay?? I dont want to work in a nursing home but if no one can find a job at a hospital then I have to settle for something smaller. and can someone give me some information about nursing classes I can take for medical assisting. that is affordable for a person who just relocated to the area I know nothing about. please someone help. thank you.

Starting out I've seen it around $18/hr at nursing homes... sometimes higher. I know this from doing clinicals at one and my friend works at a nursing home. I just recently got a job at a doctor's office...

thank you for ur response. I will be in Columbia next month, my boyfriends sister works at a group home for the disabled..so she will be "hookin" me up with a job there. and that pay rate is way better than the ones in washington state. haha. thank you.
