Relocating to Kentucky

Published

Hi! I am reloating to Kentucky from New York. I am in the process of buying a home in Prospect. Can anyone recommend a Hospital to start looking into? Does anyone work for an agency? Thanks!

Hi all.

I currently live in NC and have worked for a VA here for 15 months. It looks like we may be PCS-ing to Fort Campbell, KY. Anyone able to provide info on the post housing situation and nearest VA hospitals, in case I need to transfer? Would greatly appreciate any assistance/info. Love and God bless all.

Clark Hospital (Clarksville) and Floyd Memorial (New Albany) are advertising $5000 sign on bonuses for ICU nurses. They are on the Indiana side of the river and may be too far from Prospect to consider. Just thought I'd throw it in.

Hello,

I currently live in Western Ky, about an hour from Fort Campbell. There are several hospitals in the area. Nashville has a VA hosp, Vanderbilt, and St Thomas, along with some others. Fort Campbell has Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Clarksville has Gateway (which is hear is going to build a new hospital), Hopkinsville has Jennie Stuart, Western State (state psych) and Cumberland Hall (private psych)........ those are all probably within drivign distance of the Clarksvile/Fort Campbell/ Hopkinsville area. Good luck and email if there are any other questions I can help with. I will be moving to Louisville late this spring, so will appreciate any comments/hints/tips on the Louisville area!!!

There's also Flaget Memorial in Bardstown (I think that's close...lol). Although, I think the entire hospital only has about 55 beds...

ksb13: What kind of tips do you need? Employment, neighborhood info, entertainment, or childcare? Welcome to Louisville- I love it here, and it's a very good place to live if you're a medical professional.
