relocating to boston

Published

Hello, I am a 26 year old nurse, and am going to be relocating to boston in the next few months, and I currently have over three years experience as a nurse, almost 2 of them Icu experience(trauma, medical, stroke, and liver transplant). I was wondering how difficult it is to get jobs in hospitals such as mass general, brigham and womens, beth israel, and what are some great places to work with good people. Also what are good safe areas to live, and what can I expect to make hourly wise with my experience? I currently make around 26 dollars an hour at a level one trauma hospital in ft. lauderdale. Any information would be appreciated.

Specializes in pedi, pedi psych,dd, school ,home health.

Lawrence General hospital (978-683-4000) is usually hiring especially er and critical care.

it is on the northern border near new hampshire.

ER is brand new and a regional trauma center.

not sure about other areas of Ma.

I wish i could trade with you . its is -1 degrees here right now.

It might be harder to get a traveling position in Boston because some hospitals are not signing on travel nurses right now due to budgets. Last year MGH did not renew their contracts with any travelers so some of them signed on as staff.
