Registered nurse in the Philippines challenging the CNA examination.

Published

Hi, I just want to know if anyone out there who has tried challenging the CNA examination not going over the CNA training program?I'm refering to those Registered Nurses in the PH. If anyone has tried please give me a hint how were you able to take the examination.

You don't have to go for a training. Just go challenge it directly.

Are you by chance an RN with a BSN degree from the Phils? If so, not just apply to become an LVN or LPN, different States call it differently, but the pay is much more than a CNA and then, one day, you can become a USRN, assuming you can meet whatever the State's requirements you're in.

Most States will require a SSN to apply in any nursing program and for sure before starting to work in any facililty.

Of course you are qualified to take the NCLEX-PN.You have to apply under the method 3 which is the equivalency.Browse the bvnpt website and you'll see all the requirements there.Good luck:)

hello! Im an RN in the phil just migrated here in California. I want to challenge the CNA exam.. Can someone explain this to me im a little bit confused. thank you----- An official, sealed transcript of training (students can substitute the transcript with a sealed letter on official school letterhead listing equivalent training in at least "fundamentals of nursing". The letter must include the completion date(s) of training).

hi! I'm also a BSN in the Philippines but not an RN... guys add me up on facebook so that we can communicate and we can share infos easily regarding this matter.

right now i'm working with my papers to take CNA test without further training, I think i'll have a hard time working on this coz im not an RN in the ph. I hope they will consider my job experience as a PCA to approve my papers.

I am a Philippine registered nurse, I just migrated in ca. ... ca board of nursing says that I am not eligible to take nclex-rn..I know that some of the Filipino nurses applying for nclex-rn exam here in ca has also the same feedback..is there any state where I can take nclex-rn without taking cgfns?
