Are there any active LVNs in Southern California, LA or OC area who have passed their NCLEX but have not worked as an LVN for the pass 2 or 3 years?? I'm just curious if it will be worth taking a refresher course to brush up on my skills. Ive been working as a PCA at a hospital so i do have at least 5 years experience in the medical field but not as an LVN because i am very picky on choosing an LVN position,it is just overwhelming and I could'nt help it because i'm very indecisive. Anyone out there have any advice i would appreciate it Thanks!

The OP lives in CA where the LVN scope is extremely limited. LVNs don't technically assess out there they data collect. All they can administer is "natural" non Medicated solutions and blood, blood products via PIV. I don't think an LVN in CA can get ACLS because of that. No ivp anything medicated, and they can't touch a central line.
yes please I'm in the process of looking for an IV certification as well Im in the San Gabriel valley. where have you found a class and how much?
