Recorders. HELP!!

Has anyone found a recorder that actually works well. I've already tried two and you can make out a word that has been recorded. I sit in the front of class too!

I would like digital so that I can upload my lectures to my computer, however I will go with the old fashioned kind if I have too.

Do not use an iPod. Regardless of the mic quality, it records at a very low quality level.

The best class recorder I have used is a sony mini disk player. I know musicians that use them to record their bands.

Josh..these seem to be a fair price. How many hours can you record and can you move them to your computer?
