Did you mail your application or apply online? If online you can check your status.

You are endorsing. The reciprocity is only for passing the NCLEX.

Yes you wait for fingerprints. It takes about 4-6 weeks before you can check status online as they have to manually scan the paper app and then manually QC the data. They won't send the fingerprint form until your application is in the system. The applications page on NJBoN website has options for printing paper or applying online.

Depending on where you live it can take a few days to a few weeks to get a fingerprint appointment at Sagem Morpho. Then 3-4 weeks for the state and federal background checks to be processed and sent to NJBoN

Overall it can take 8-12 weeks to process an endorsement application submitted by mail more if you are an internationally educated nurse with the possibility of rejection if you submitted without a social security number. After original license, credentials, and background are verified all candidates must be presented and approved by board committee.

Thank you so much for the help! Yes i am an international nurse and i do have a social security number. I hope they process my application as soon as possible because im planning to go home. I mailed them the $200 and the 62.50 is that correct?

Endorsement application processing averages 8-12 weeks. Lately closer to the 12 week mark if not longer.

Nothing is quick in NJ except to raise taxes & fees.
