  2. Hello there i am BSN,RN who recently started working last december 2014.. i just started my nursing career and so far i am enjoying it.. not a easy job i must say! i am working in a rehab nursing home in the subacute area.. i am def not an experienced nurse still learning everything slowly.. now my question for you guys who are more experienced is where do i go from here? like what do u guys advice me to do? i would really like to expand my knowledge and do more since i am a BSN RN. thanks!!
  3. Im really confused about this job lol i called the HR today and the person i talked to isnt there today bec today is saturday. I faxed them my physical exam copy and hopefully i can talk to thE HR person on monday to ask about the rate. What she told me is that my hours can come up to full time hours the only thing they cannot give is the set schedule.
  4. Thank you so much for the help. Im thinking of getting the job since no other nursing homes are calling me. And i badly need a job now. Hopefully the $27/hr is full time rate. Do u have any idea how much NJ PAY for per diem nurses?
  5. Hello guys. I need an advice regarding my situation right now. I was offered to work as a full time nurse in this rehab nursing home for $27/hr i said yes immediatelt and did my physical exam. Minutes before faxing my physical exam the HR told me that there was a mistake with my job position. They can only offer per diem as of the moment i was so sad and didnt know what to tell them told them i will call them back and think about it. Do u have any advice for me? What is it like working as a per diem nurse? What are the pros and cons. Pls help me
  6. oh wow that is such a long time
  7. True that!!! It was the best feeling in the world!! Congrats to you too!!!
  8. good luck to you!! You can do it!
  9. Thank you so much for the help! Yes i am an international nurse and i do have a social security number. I hope they process my application as soon as possible because im planning to go home. I mailed them the $200 and the 62.50 is that correct?
  10. i didn't know i can apply online.. geez.. i mailed everything this afternoon. do you know how long it takes for them to process everything? do i just wait for them to send me the finger print? thanks much!!!
  11. hi guys! i would like to share with you guys that i recently passed my nclex! i got 265 questions and sat there for the whole 6 hours!! (whew!) i had 7 minutes left on my last number! it was horrible! i went home feeling i failed the test because i had to rush the last 100 items because i only had an hour left finish the test! didn't do the pearsonvue trick because i didn't want to scare myself to death. me and my husband waited and paid $8 to view the unofficial results and luckily i passed. it was the best feeling in the world! i cried so much because it was unexpected! Now i want to share with you guys the materials i used during my review.. i signed up for hurst last year and i think hurst is good when it comes to refreshing your nursing knowledge but they def lack in questions. i also enrolled myself in Kaplan and their qbank really helped me!! i think their questions were similar to the test and i also enrolled in NCSBN --- i know a lot of people like ncsbn but in my opinion its not the best but it also helped me. saunders and nclex3500 also helped me master my SATA questions. i would answer 100-150 questions everyday and the only day i take a break is sunday because i offer this day to the Lord. whenever i get bored i would use nclex apps on my phone and answer 20-50 questions. writing all the rationale and reading them all over again really helped me!!!! i think you guys should try this too because its really effective. the only bad thing about it is that it is time consuming but def worth it! you guys are probably thinking i used almost all the review material there is haha but no regrets! all the stuff i mentioned here helped me pass. and most importantly pray and ask God to guide you during your review, your test and after you pass your test. do not forget to pray and ask for his guidance!--- this is the most important!! stay positive and good luck to everyone!!!!! :)
  12. Hi i have a question regarding license endorsement. I am a rn in vermont and would like to practice in nj. I checked out nj's board of nursinh website and to be honest their website isnt user friendly! Lol i just wana know how the endorsement works? I submitted my application this afternoon and i was wondering if there is any way i can check the status of my application! Should i jusst wait for them to send a finger print? Im really confused Please help! Thanks
  13. Hello everyone! I just wana share with everyone that i passed my nclex last week! Good luck to all of you guys!
  14. hello!! just keep on studying every question.. someone told me to not mind the low scores were getting in question trainers but we have to study each question (rational) I'm happy to say that the last two question trainers my scores went up.. i was in the 60s in the last two sets.. what i do is i study each question whether i got it right or wrong. i write it down on my notebook and review it again.. hope this helps!! good luck on your test! u got this!
