I was considering Sentara's Program but they are currently accepting applications for the fall 2012 and Spring 2013 classes. I want to start now. I am hoping that I can find a hospital that has tuition reimbursement for new RN grads. You are right though 40k is a lot. They should let you get your ASN/BSN for that price if anything.
I currently am in Sentara's new BSN program and I love it. We have class days on M and Th, and clinical days on T and Th. Clinicals start right away from the first semester. At first they are from 7-12 then in the 2nd semester they are from 7-2:30. The one advantage I've seen is that students from other schools do not have their own access to the e-care which is Sentara's computerised system for health records. We however, all have access from the first day to our pt info. Which proves rather helpful when having to do our concept maps and when coming up with our nursing diagnoses. Also, the price can't be beat for a bachelor's degree. I can't speak for other programs, but I am loving this one. I am almost completely sure that next May when I graduate, I will be saying the same thing. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions about the program if you have any.

Does sentara's bsn program transfer to a university's grad program such as ODU?

If you recently graduated from MCI, Sentara, or Riverside registered nurse program in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia, what was your starting pay? Do you think your school of choice taught you everything you needed? Can you describe what your daily clinicals were like?
