i used la charity, comprehensive review by saunder because i need to refresh my nursing topic, saunders q and a, 4th edition and davis q and a and i do self study. I studied for 2 mos and focus on my weakness which is medication and it works for me because a lot of medication question pop on my nclex. What books did you used before????:coollook::coollook:

hi fellow filipina :)

i am a foreign graduate too! i passed my nclex the 2nd time.

during my first time, i only used KAPLAN live. it wasnt enough.

from my perspective, (im not sure for the others). graduating outside of US, we need to review more on content. NCLEX is a US board exam, and frankly speaking, not all were taught to us. as I did my review, i have encountered alot of 'new' things. i am a proud graduate of my school, and i thought at first, it would give me advantages.

for my 2nd time, i studied from the start. tho i knew the topics already, i still read thru them patiently. i used SAUNDERS comprehensive for content. and i finished it cover to cover!

i also used NCSBN 3 weeks review. i finished all the questions.

i answered the whole LAcharity book. it helped me tremendously with the prioritization and delegations!

then i answered KAPLAN qtrainers, diagnostic test and readiness test and 200 qbanks. i ddnt even finish qbank, coz i felt i was ready. it was.. 'sit now and pass or do later and confuse urself more'

so i sat for my exam. i got 180 questions. tons of math.

GOOGLE images helped me with the rashes for specific diseases.

KAPLAN helped me with ANALYSIS questions,

NCSBN and SAUDNERS compre helpmed me with content questions,

LA CHARITY. i nailed my prioritizations and delegations with it! i cant believe how it's such a great great book.

and RANDOM FACT THREAD (allnurses.com, nclex forum) just above this, for LAST-minute-quick-facts. i read it 2-3 days before my exam.

you can do it too! by the way.. we all know NCLEX is never easy. tho u studied ur b*tt off, it wil always leave u confused. take a rest for a week, 2 weeks or even more than that. failing nclex is heartbreaking, soo.. cry ur heart out after, be lazy in all for a few days.. go out.. after making urself feel comfortable, and u feel like ur ready to tackle ur nursing books again. STUDY. "STUDY like u've never studied before".. eventually. u will nail NCLEX! goodluck to you! and keep us posted :))

Thanks for the advice. More on content question?
